Protecting community spaces

Local authorities have shamefully closed scores of community spaces in recent years, from libraries to miners’ halls, and from leisure centres to treasured places like Llancaiach Fawr.

I would push for a Communities Bill in the Senedd, including changes in Community Right to Buy that would allow local groups and community councils to more easily take ownership of community spaces at risk of closure. We must breathe life into these cherished spaces once again.
